Jane M. McCabe I was born and raised in Billings, Montana, attended Eastern Montana College and the University of Washington, got my Master's degree in fine art from the San Francisco Art Institute, and attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul for three years. I have worked as a visual artist/writer/teacher my entire life, living in San Francisco, New York City, and now am a resident of Los Angeles. When my new website is finished I'll post its address here.

This 17 panel work is called The Taft Altarpiece because it was painted in 2011 when I had a gallery in Taft, California. Its inspiration is the Ghent Altarpiece. The central panel is of The Lamb of God. To it's left is the Martha panel (named for the lady who modeled) and to the right is the Joshua Panel. Directly above are the music panel and above that is the Judgment panel (Jesus, Gabriel and unidentified arch angel. Directly below are the three adoration panels, signifying bread and wine (communion), beauty and knowledge. The four animal panels are the four creatures mentioned in the book of Revelation. The hollyhock panels are merely decorative. It's medium in acrylic and dimensions 10 x 10 fit. I would love to find a home for it.
