Music at Normandale
At Normandale music is central to our worship. Music is an expression of praise, prayer, contemplation, and reflection that connects us more deeply with each other and with God. Divine connection can be found in the alternating sounds and silence of music, especially when experienced together. Explore and participate in a choir or ensemble and share your gifts with us or join us at one of our monthly concerts. Normandale offers several choirs with a Children's choir, Youth choir, and three different opportunities for adults: Adult Choir, Chamber Choir, and Men's Chorus. We also have several instrumental opportunities with our Brass Quintet, Handbell Choir, and Flute Ensemble.
Through the power of music, we share of ourselves, our gifts, and enhance our worship and the lives of others. Adult choirs and instrumental ensembles are directed by David Clarke. We invite you to join us!
Liturgical Dance Group
Interested in dance? Normandale’s liturgical dance group is made up of children, youth and adults with an interest in dance and worship. The liturgical dance group comes together for 2-4 rehearsal periods per year to rehearse pieces scheduled for use in worship services. Rehearsals and choreography are under the direction of Christa Anderson. Some previous dance experience required, current enrollment in some type of dance lessons encouraged. Liturgical dance in our community brings beauty and movement to worship experiences in ways that we cannot accomplish otherwise.
