Christopher L. Webber Born and brought up in Cuba NY, college at Princeton, General Theological Seminary, STB, STM, and DD. Ordained in the Episcopal Church, served parishes in Long Island, NY, then Tokyo, Japan, then Bronxville NY. Retired to Connecticut and served parishes in Cornwall, Canaan, and Bantam.
My writing career began with publication of the New Metrical Psalter in 1986 and The Vestry Handbook in 1988. . More recently I have published books of general interest such as The Beowulf Trilogy, American to the Backbone: the Biography of James W.C. Pennington, and Give Me Liberty: Speeches and Speakers that shaped America. Hymn writing has produced texts in a number of hymnals and a prize-winning text in 2015.

Currently "retired" and living in San Francisco, I serve as needed in several churches in the city. I am working on half a dozen publishing projects ranging from picture book and middle readers versions of my biography of James W.C. Pennington to a novel based on the life of St Paul in modern America. I am also working on a collection of hymns.
