Bethel Balge Winner of the Louis B. Sudler Prize in the Arts, Bethel Balge has performed in Germany, including at Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, in Russia as a soloist with the Voronezh Philharmonic, as well as in various American venues. It was at the Alte Oper that Balge's "highly concentrated, technically secure and captivating interpretation" of Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit entranced a reviewer from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Balge has performed in a Minnesota Public Radio live broadcast in the Bach Birthday Bash.
In December 2014, Balge received a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Minnesota. She is artistic director of the Summit Avenue Music Series and is a member of the Bekesh Piano Trio.
She teaches at BLC and MLC.
