For the past 35 years, professional storyteller Pati Kachel has performed at hundreds of Lutheran churches around the Midwest. She specializes in telling the true life stories of Christian women of history. She is best known of her costumed characterizations of Katie Luther & Corrie ten Boom. Pati has researched, written and performs her one-woman shows through THE PARABLE FUND, a nonprofit ministry whose mission is to educate, encourage, enrich and entertain listening audiences through excellent presentations. With over 35 original story programs in her repertoire, she has something special to offer each congregation to serve senior's groups, women's ministry, adult educational forums, confirmation students, & family enrichment events.
Pati Kachel was born in Minneapolis, MN. Her family tree has both Norwegian Lutheran and German roots. She began delighting the crowds gathered at the neighborhood bookmobile at the age of four! She is a founding member of Story Arts of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, which promotes the craft of storytelling and supports performers to develop as creative artists. For the past 30 years she has belonged to Salt of the Storytellers, an ecumenical fellowship of Biblical storytellers. In 2009 THE PARABLE FUND was established as a Christian Educational Nonprofit to provide a platform to produce her original one-woman faith-based story programs. Pati now serves full-time as the Communication Director & Master Storyteller for The Parable Fund.
